Hatching starts March 27th, we have been on lockdown since Wednesday night. Any last minute tips we should know, what are sign to look for that there is a problem etc.? What is the earliest they could hatch? Thanks for all the friendly replies on my other million posts. I'm new to BYC, if you couldn't tell..

I've had chicks pip as early as day 19.
I think the best advice is not to open the incubator until the hatch is completely done.

I could not agree with this statement more, sit on your hands if you have to, but do NOT open the incubator before the hatch is completely done!!!

I know they can last 2 days without any food or water but what if the hatch isn't done for 3 days? Or should I not wait that long?

It true so true

I know you'll feel that chicks may need help if they are taking a long time (up to 24hrs) to go from pip to zip but be patient.
The last two hatches I've done each had one chick that took 30+ hours to go from zip to chick and were just fine.
You're going to do great

Chicks can go 72 hours without food or water, as long as they don't show any distress. Shipped chicks do it
