My wife is Irish and her family has the" eat cabbage on new years day" tradition for good luck.

It always brought me bad luck

I use it to make cole slaw. It never bothers me digestively, but my mom has colitis and cannot eat it. Ohter than that, I buy it for my chickens. They love it.

I grow my own cabbage and love it. There is nothing like the sweet milky taste of freshly harvested cabbage.

I love fried cabbage and egg noodles. Just shred the cabbage.Salt it.Set for 30 minutes,Squeeze out water.Fry with some oil.Add in cooked egg noodles.

Loved stuffed cabbage too.

What is boiled dinner?

Ham(smoked picnic shoulder) and potatoes and carrots and cabbage, all boiled together...YUM!

YES,
Got up that Morning and put Homemade Sausage, Sauerkraut & taters in the crockpot.
Then, cooked a big beef roast, mashed taters & gravey to make manhattans. Also fixed boiled cabbage, corn and sweet taters. Chocolate cake for dessert! Had the family over and played cards.
