Any Of You Ever lived In A Haunted House?

Something is screwy with our house. We don't believe in ghosts, but can't explain this....

We built our house back in 2005 in a large haypatch in front of an old abandoned farm. Shortly after moving in, my husband and I were lying in bed when he noticed what appeared to be a light shining in the bedroom window. Lights were coming from the back of the house. Street is in front. No houses within 10 miles of the back of our house.

Through the years, we noticed this at the strangest times. night before last, the light came in through the dining room window. my daughter looked out and saw nothing.

Just the strangest thing.

I really believe that our loved ones care for us after they die and don't want us to be saddened by their deaths.

Don't you ever go outside and check? I would.

I would too. And bring someone with you so you don't go up in that spaceship alone! Seriously, I would check to see where that light was coming from.....but not alone!

When the aliens try to take you, you can knock over your friend and run like mad. Your friend can be the distraction for you to get away.

Seriously, take a friend so that you will be safe. It could be some human wierdo spying on you.

I would have to look myself. Or you could put up a camera outside.

My DH and his mother also had things happen. They said it was a man that had lived in the house. Kinda watched over them. They would be sitting at their kitchen table and the garbage can lid would spin on it's own. Or the fridge would open. Shades through the house. Footsteps and no one there. My MIL said that this "man" followed her to 5 different houses. But stayed at her house near Detroit. He didn't follow her back to Wisconsin.

There are many spirits that look after horses. Is this family from Europe? That is where they are most common, especially in Ireland and wherever Gaelic was spoken.
There are also spirits that play pranks regarding animals, like letting them out to pasture, or tangling their manes, or running the sheep. One is supposed to manifest itself as a scrawny piglet with red eyes.

When I was little, I used to talk to trees. Not just any tree, the two that I had named Yama Chaka (mother tree) and Faki Chaka(father tree). I don't remember how I came up with these names, it just seemed right. I didn't talk to Faki Chaka very much, but a lot to Yama Chaka. She was an alder, I think, but she grew differently than any tree I've ever seen. She had a base with four branches about 7 inches thick coming out in all directions. These branches made fantastic "beds" that were very comfortable (to a stick-like 7 yr old) and one branch split into three, creating a monkey nest that I liked to sit in and read, especially Magic Tree House books. The last time I can remember talking to Yama Chaka she was very sad. I don't remember why. Now that I'm considerably older, several of her limbs have been cut down, and she has grown lots of little green branches that make her impossible to climb. She never used to do that...I read a book once that each tree has it's child, and then it is done. I think Yama Chaka is done.

Oh dear, look at me, talking about trees as if they were people.....
