I know many may think it weird to get a tattoo to honor my mother but it would mean so much to me to get one.
I'm just stuck on what kind or style of tattoo to get.
I was kind of hoping to put her birth year and passing year with 'Mom' plus maybe a tiny heart or something like that.

Does anyone have ideas for this?

I am very sorry for your loss. :hugs

Where exactly do you want this tattoo to be? Maybe just a tiny heart would be the thing to go. As you will always remember her birthday and passing date anyway.

Or maybe think about what your mother would have advised in this situation?

I do like this idea.

Is there anything your mom loved that you wouldn't mind having tattooed? For example, if she loved horses you could do a tiny horseshoe and a heart intertwined.

Again, so sorry for your loss. :hugs

I want it near my wrist on one of my arms.
And she would have advised me to do what I felt like doing that would make me happy.

She loved reading the bible but I don't want that on my arm where people could see it. My town has been getting very hostile lately and I don't want to cause any arguments.

What about a cross?
Does it have to be on your arm? It could go on the back of your shoulder, somewhere less conspicuous, if you wanted.

On which arm do you wear your watch? You could position the tattoo right under it or on your inner wrist if you want it to be more private.

But wearing a ring of your mother's on a chain around your neck and near your heart would also be a way of honouring her and always be reminded.

Don't wear watches or rings.
I plan on sticking to what I want tattooed.

That sounds very nice.

Before you get it done, look around at various heart designs and fonts to see which you like best. If you know a tattoo artist, talk to them and look at their work. See what they might come up as a design that has the elements you like.

If you draw, draw it yourself. Find a tattoo artist who can duplicate it.
