Any One Can You Help Out Here On Coccidiosis and corrid?

does any one remember that post some weeks ago on coccidiosis
that said 3-4 tbps? I wish I had saved the url

SO i CHANGED MY AMT OF CORID FROM 2 TSP TO 3-4 TBSP
with the lady saying speckled hen said that amt

I am sorry if it was too much
I do not want to mislead any one
asked Speckled hen last week what the cc's are in amt's

Glenda, the Corid liquid I use is the 9.6% solution. Costs me about $20 for 16 ounces. It's not easy to find around here, but First State Vet supply right now has a special on the powdered Corid, which may be a good deal.

5 cc's- 1 tsp

10 cc = 2 tsp. so, I'd say that a teaspoon and a half would do for about 6 cc.

For those who dont know, cc = ml, so if you have a measuring device that measures in ml, you can use that in place of cc's.

Did someone say I said to use TABLESPOONS? Not at all, someone misunderstood. Of the Corid 9.6% solution, I use 9-10 cc per gallon. CC=ML. That would be in TEASPOONS, not TBSPs so 10 cc = 2 tsp (teaspoons) in one gallon waterer each day. Just to be clear on that. Don't want to overdo it, right? Could be someone got the abbreviations for tsp and Tbsp mixed up?

yes I have seen it in several posts
so figured that I had it wromg

but corid does not hurt birds and I suppose that people if they did use it got them over it fast

glad I read your amt thing as I do not want to hurt chickens either

I wouldn't think a day of the higher dosage would really hurt them too much, as you said, Glenda. It's not an antibiotic, so if they just correct it in the next day's water, they'll be fine.
