Any one seen anything like this?

I went out this morning to clean my coop let the chickens out we now have three we will be getting more in another area though. Well I seen it look like of turmeric in it since it was so yellow or orange. And it was by my older chicken which she’s going on I guess a 8 1/2 years old right now. And I’m wondering has anybody seen anything like this I will show a picture. I feed them half layers and half protein with some dry worms during the day. I kind of opened it up with a instrument to see what was inside. Thank you for your help

It may be a lash egg from salpingitis, but usually is flesh colored. You might want to cut it in half and take another picture. This article has several pictures of lash eggs:

Thank you I’ll study about that but my husband already cut it in half and he threw it away
