ANY OPINIONS ON CALIFORNIA WHITES?

I had on cal. white in my first little batch....then I bought nine more from a farmer here who wanted brown egg layers instead. Well, my first little one is laying now and much to my surprise the eggs are better than my bo and rir. I only chose here because dh wanted a white egg layer but now I'm so glad I did. The others aren't laying yet but I can't wait!

california whites are a cross between a leghorn and a california grey. They are harder than leghorns and lay large white eggs over a long time.

Thanks for the reply......I knew what the cross was but I don't read much on this forum about cw's and just thought it was worth mentioning.
