I started listening to OTR about 5 years ago and started collecting episodes shortly after. I've managed to collect in the neighborhood of 1 terabyte or approximately 1400 episodes. Most of these shows aired in the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's with a few airing in the early 70's. It's nice to be able to listen to history and all the old stars from yesteryear. Names like: Lucille Ball, Agnes Moorehead, Humphrey Bogart, Lorren Bacall, Vincent Price, James Stewart, Abbott and Costello, Martin and Lewis, Red Skelton, Milton Berle, Jimmy Durante, George Burns, Dick Powell, Orson Welles ... and hundreds more. Starring in shows that some may remember hearing on radio or watching on tv. Shows like: Dragnet, Calling All Cars, Gunsmoke, The Lone Ranger, Have Gun Will Travel, Jungle Jim, Tarzan, Father Knows Best, Life Of Riley, Ozzie and Harriet, My Favorite Husband, and the list goes on and on.
In December of 2014, I started an on-line radio station to play these shows from the golden years of radio. During those years, people relied on their radios for the news, weather and entertainment. In these shows you can catch a glimpse of what life was like during those years. You can join us as we journey back to those days of long ago and relive some of the shows, news and commercials of that time.
