You are correct that the two Purple chicks have to be hen chicks the IB will reveal its sex in a few weeks. If it is a hen it will be regular Wild Pattern, if it is a cock chick it will be split Purple.

White cock and Pied hen will produce 50% White and 50% Pied.

I read with great interest all of these threads. I have four peachicks that are a week old inside of my house. Mom is white and Dad is India Blue. I'm thinking I will have India blue split? And if one of the birds is a peahen and mates with the India blue I have a 50% chance of getting another white bird. ??? Hopefully on the right track. Introduced the first baby to Mom and the 2 Dads and Mom pecked her across the yard. Going to assume that is a rejection. What type of set up do you use while the peachicks are advancing in size? I do take all four out and let them roam around the family room. They follow me like puppy dogs!!They are getting good at practicing their flying skills. I also was in touch with Brad Legg at Leggspeafowl.com. He was gracious enough to return my call and then called later to see how things were going. Located in Kansas MO he would be the expert on all of the genetics. In fact he has a tab devoted just to genetics. Do visit the site if you have never been there. Amazing amount of birds with a huge variety of colors.
