Any recommendations for good German shepherd breeders?

Back years ago you could look in the paper and find just about any type of dog you wanted. Recently we had a terrible time trying to find a small dog for my parents but eventually found one on some off brand website I'd never heard of and can't remember the name of it. If all else fails, ask a K9 officer. They probably know since you want a german shepherd.
