My best friend has finally dragged me and my dd into it. We went to our first one last month. It was a blast. We are actually going this weekend shopping for fabric for the clothes, as what she has doesn't seem to fit me
We've bought patterns locally and online and plan to spend the winter sewing! ~Tracy
I've always wanted to but nothing around here that I know of. I've read roughly 30 books on the CW. I mad a 2x4 ft diorama with over 200 handpainted figures. Kinda had an obsession with it for a year or so.
I've been for 11 years and hubby has been over 16 years. Thats a long time and been thru three different units (all of them folded up due to conflicts) and we are starting our new group next year. We are still learning as we go and hopefully we should get some new guys in! We got all the women we got from our last unit.....time to relist guys!!!!!
lol The question down south to ask, how many do reenactments, then ask, how many try to change how it ended?
We still have the pick-up trucks with the bumper stickers saying get your greenbacks, the south shall rise again. Sad part is the driver always has the wifebeater tank top on, suspenders, plumber bum and beer belly, screamin..Yee HAW!
One of our community colleges has a smaller scaled Shakesphere's Globe Theater. There's a med ren almost every summer . Hopefully the girls will be old enough this summer to take them to it. They saw part of a sword fight last year at one of the carnival things. They loved it, but complained that I got us seats too close, it hurt thier ears. Guess that makes me a bad mom, I wanted good seats to see it all.
