I'm going to be starting soon. I shoot a couple of .45 autos, a .40, a sabot shotty, and I practice with my wife's 9mm and .380. I'm planning on picking up a 10mm soon so I definitely want to be reloading for that. Not to mention I'll be getting a 30-30 for myself and a 7mm-08 for the wife.

I load for the 9, .45, the .30-30 and the 7-08 (and some others) .... if you have questions, I have answers ......maybe not the right ones for you, but they might point you to better questions ...... I'm something of a reloading enthusiast- and take much pride in helpeing others get started...... more than glad to help: I'm on a mission!

Good to hear. I don't plan to use my hand loads for defense or dangerous game rounds (at least till I get a crap ton of good rounds off), but for hunting it will be handy. I plan on picking up a 10mm carbine not long after I get the pistol. That way I can share ammo, or use some slow burners and a 20 inch barrel to breech the 2000 fps mark with a 220 grain pistol round.

I have been pulling the steel arm for about 5 years now. When I get a chance to. I just never seem to have the time these days. I usually will load a bunch right before a trip to the range or a hunt I am going on. Nothing real fancy, just the basic stuff mostly, although I am steadily creeping in on the right load for my elk if I ever find him...

I am also a very old school gun kind of guy-- revolvers, pump shotguns, bolt rifles. I did however recently pick up an AR-15 that I have yet to shoot! It's been owned for months, but just haven't had the time... Looks like a fun one. Anyway I can help with .44, .38/.357, .30-06, .243 if anyone has questions or recommendations. Nice to know there are still lots of us out there!

Lets see... Pistol: 9x19, .41 mag, .45acp. Have loaded .44 mag for a friend, still have the dies.
Rifle... .223/5.56, .6.5x55Swedish, .270win, .280rem, .300Sav, .308win, 30-06, 7.5x55Swiss, 7.62x54r, 8x57mm

I shoot NRA and CMP high power and plan to start some informal IHMSA silhouette this summer. I've also dabbled in IDPA handgun. I consider myself an expert on loading heavy match ammo in 5.56 and match ammo for the 6.5x55, 7.5x55 Swiss, 7.62X54r and M1Garand, and have the awards to prove it. In addition to the match ammo, I hunt with most of the rifle calibers from time to time.

I do most of my loading on a Lee Turret with Redding dies, although I have some Lee and RCBS mixed in. Probably fire over 4000 handloads per year. I rarely shoot factory ammo anymore except for my supply of surplus 7.62x54r that I use for plinking.

Just found the thread, I have a LEE single stage press, I have not reloaded in a few years though as I have been doing some remodeling of the house and have not found a new spot to set it back up. hope to soon as I ran out of plinking rounds for the .357 mag

I too have taken a awhile off. My shop was a total mess. I have recently straightened it back up, and now have a place for my lee progressive press, so I might start reloading again, but I'm not sure why, since I lost all my guns in a boating accident, and haven't bothered to replace them.
