Any Roman Tufted experts?

Another Craigslist acquisition -- advertised as Embden. Can anyone tell if he is a cross or purebred Roman Tufted? What are the genetics on the tuft? He's been doing his duty but no Tufted goslings so far.

That looks like a Roman tufted.

It's probably got Roman genetics, but probably crossed, since even my hatchery Roman tufted has an orange beak and feet. The tufts on my crosses are about that small as in your pic.

Though I've read it is possible for tufts to occur in any geese.

How do your Romans compare to your Embden, temperament and noise wise?

If you're asking me, I have one Roman I bred to 2 Embdens. Both the Embden and cross-bred offspring hens are noisey by comparison. The cross-bred male is near silent.
