Any rooster owners out there?

I'd be cautious about him becoming food agressive. I had a lovely NN rooster named Atlas that we ended up culling because he got food aggressive and would attack you if you got close since he associated attacks with us accidentally dropping the feed scoop. And yes, he had free access feed.

Is it actually attacking, or is he just pecking sharply once or twice?

Well I actually have 10 pullets total. The other 9 are just younger.. 5 weeks. They are in their own area which Stella and Tex can walk around. But I don't like him. He always wants to pick a fight with me and I am not confident that will change. I didn't want a rooster. I got 4 chicks originally and he was one of them. 2 others died. Which left me with him and Stella. I bought a bigger, nicer coop and got 9 more chicks who so far all seem to be pullets. I plan on letting Stella meet the chicks tomorrow and Tex is going to his own space. Stella has been hanging out near the chicks for 2 weeks.
He needs discipline. Do you have any older hens that can smack some sense into him?

If not you'll have to assert your dominance over him. Either pin him down(Embarrass him), or hold him like a football tightly, but not squeezing, & carry him around the yard.

Well to Stella my pullet he kicks her in the butt. To me every time I open their coop door he comes out and does this little shuffle and puffs up to me looking for a way to get to me... like he wants to fight. He did peck me one day. I wasn't going in to feed them. I spend time with my chicks every day. I was going to see them when he pecked my boot. Thank goodness they were high rain boots or he would have pecked my leg.

I'd really start watching him then. The boys I have had that act like that don't last very long due to their behavior.

I have to catch him first. I used to pick him up and carry him around all the time. He pecked me in the face one day while I was hold him. He got my tooth. I don't know if he did it cause my teeth are white... or if he was being aggressive or what made him do that. He didn't do it any other time I held him. But I do plan on catching him and pinning him to the ground.

Odds are he didn't do it out of curiosity alone. I have had several males with that opportunity and none have gone near to taking it apart from a horribly aggressive frizzle I had.

I've had my tooth pecked out of curiosity. It was my White silkie rooster a several years ago when he was about 6 months old.

He sounds like he's in his hormonal stage of life, "teen years". This is normal for older cockerel to behave in that manner. It will take about 2 to 3 months for him to calm down his behavior. Then he may turn out to be a good rooster for your flock. He just needs to get older to be sure.
