I know there's at least a couple people on here who breed sebrights, or own them(or want to)...

I have a hatchery golden Sebright cockerel(also pullet who I'd like to breed, but the rooster's mine lol), and I've done some research and the breed is really interesting. My little guy is certainly engaging! They're beautiful birds, and I would really like to find more about them.

Pictures welcomed and anticipated! Here's mine:

Yes, he's asleep on my mousepad..I guess he likes the millimeter of padding it gives him. He also eats petroleum jelly and sits on peoples' heads, I guess I just got a funny one.

I am no breeder, but I LOVE the breed, trying to learn what I can about them

Currently have a pair of hatchery Sebrights from Ideal. I used to have 3 hens but 2 went up and died last winter and I don't know the causes. Fortunately these two are going strong and their temperament is great

That's a beautiful rooster on your avatar, Year of the Rooster!
My boy has a great temperament too, he's nice, friendly, nice with small children and first to come up to me when I come over even though I got him when he was older.

Sorry about your other hens. It just sucks when those things happen.

Thank you

Yes, unfortunately one was the nicest looking of the three. Very little, if at all, smutt/peppering on her tail feathers. I may have a picture of her still. Such sweet birds, but surprisingly don't let any of my larger birds bully them. They sure have spunk lol
