any suggestions for breed to start showing???

Any ideas of what breed to use for first show??

What kind of show? A good breed to show for, say, 4-H where you are doing showmanship, etc. would have different characteristics than one meant to be shown in a basic "caged" show. Are you considering using a bird from those you already have and, if so, what breeds do you have/have you determined which are show quality? Have you attended any shows near you yet to see what the general prevailing breeds are?

Any breed recognized by the APA is fine. Choose what you like.

This year I showed (for my first time) my Australorp rooster in a fair at a 4-H show. He was never really handled before but he stood on that table and let me show off his spurs and feathers like he had done it a thousand times before! So for a handling class I'd suggest Australorp.
