Be careful, the tilapia will eat the roots right off your plants, and the young can get into the settling areas pretty easy if you don't have them properly isolated. Otherwise a good mix, they feed each other and fresh fish is always a good dish.

I would probably have some kind of mesh divider or something between the fish and the plants. that way the fish can eat all the pieces of dead plant and stuff that falls through. I'm gonna do some more research first and figure out how exactly I want to do this.
