This chick was my free mystery chick from Mc Murray and he/she is 5 weeks old. 6 weeks old in 2 days. It use to have polka dots on it's head when it was a baby but that is pretty much gone but its coloring and feathers is really pretty. It is also friendly. Out of all 26 of my chicks, this is the only one with green legs. Does that mean something? They don't look real green in the pics but they really are pretty green, especially next to any of the other chicks. Thanks for any help. I'd love to know what breed it is.

The one on the right is the one I'm curious about. It is 3 days old here.

This is today at 5 weeks old.

The legs are really an unusual green color.

Thanks but are those Rare and Unusual? They say the free one is from the Rare and Unusual category so I was wondering about that.

Silkies are hard to tell because of their feathering, you should start a thread for them, ther are some good silkie sexers on here. You should start seeing pointed saddle(back) and hackle(neck) feathers in about 3-5 weeks on roosters if you have any. They will also have larger redder combs than the pullets.

I do not have an OG "Easter Egger", but have raised a few Ameraucans, which are considered "mutt" easter eggers. All the info I gathered about bule/green legged-fowl, point to the fact that they will lay blue/green eggs. All of my Ameraucanas have had puffy cheeks, or muffs.... It doesn't look like she does in her 5 week old pic.... However, I am not versed in rare breeds of chickens......

Sending the best from one flock to another!!!
