I know there are probably a few threads like this out there, but I just wanted to ask for myself. Does anyone know any tips for calming an Agresive rooster, aside from Freezer camp? our Rooster Jose is really nice to the girls, but he doesn't like me. And for once it's only me, and its only at certain times. Not in association with clothing, but just when I try to catch him or another bird.. but he also doesnt' like me for quite some time after I handle him.
I tried Pinning him tonight, where you put them on the ground. Should I continue this whenever he goes at me to stop the attacks? Or do you guys have any other tips?

Sorry to say but once a rooster becomes aggressive towards you, you'll never be able to turn your back on him again. And he could be a risk to other people as well especially children. Personally I would never tolerate an aggressive bird.

How old is he? As a rule I don't try to buddy up with my cockrels or cocks, and have zero tolerance for human aggression. If he actually learns to avoid you, he may still attack any other humans who show up; not so good, and dangerous if children are involved. I want my cocks to move away from me as I walk around the coop, and hopefully not think I'm just another chicken! Mary
