Rooster is attacking humans

You can use a metal or plastic trash can lid in the meantime to protect yourself from him attacking!! Or anything that can work as a shield will do! I suggest going to a local auction to get rid of him, especially if you're not comfortable with eating him.

I second culling him, his behavior isn't likely to get better and if you breed him, he'll pass on his bad attitude to his chicks

That seems to also go for friendly roos as well, just to note They seem to pass on their kindness to their chicks. Almost every one of my sapphire gem roo's babies are the friendliest, especially the ones I hatched from my incubator. Not so much for the hen-raised ones though lol!

I have chopped the rooster today and in the next days we will eat him as roasted chicken. I am comfortable with eating one of our chickens, better than buying chicken in the supermarket...

Some people say:"I could never eat my own chickens." But they are eating chickens full of antibiotics. Our rooster was delicious as roast chicken ;-)

I had one like that. I would bring a broom into the run. Then I would push him. Did not work. We sold him. I bet he's dead now.

I think violence only makes them more aggressive, we have eaten our aggressive roo as roast chicken

Hello chicken enthusiasts,

At the moment we have problems with our 6 months old rooster. Whenever someone is entering the coop he attacks, at the moment its difficult to collect eggs or cleaning the coop. When I turn the back to him he tries to jump me in the back and its the same with everyone else. Any advices on how to deal with a very aggressive rooster?

This is not a big deal, unless you do not deal with it properly.
This is common and natural. I have dealt with it MANY times.
In the mean time, separate him somewhere safe,or supervise interactions with him.
