Any tips for Taming a new young budgie bought from a Pet store?

Right, I am having difficulties trying to tame this Budgie I bought recently and he/she is young.... He/she is just scared of my hand when I put it over the cage...When I'm holding him, he tries to escape but sometimes he just stays on my finger and closes his eyes for a few seconds as though he is trying to fall asleep on my finger. What are the step by step methods on taming my New Budgie

Your new bird needs to trust you first so you must go slowly. Good luck.
