Any tips on getting hens to use nestbox

My four hens are just starting to lay, I just gave them access to the nest box also. I put two golf balls in their, it's only been a few days they seem to be a little unintrested in go in there to do their busniess. Any tips or anything else I can do?

My chickens were dumb I think to golf balls...

so I boiled an egg or 2, now they lay in there...I know its crazy...maybe there smart and thought, "hey lady these are balls, we cant do that"....and when I put the eggs they said "now we're talking!!!" Worked for me...
