All 3 weeks old....

Mille Fleurs....one on right has larger comb and longer "feet feathers"

Silver Duckwing Old English Gamehen.....phew...that's a mouthful! The red by the beak is just strawberry. ;-)

Our giant white silkie.....s/he is significantly larger than the 2 blue and 1 gray silkies we have.

Gray silkies

Golden Sebright

I know they are too young to know for sure, but any guesses?

They all look very young, but, the last one reminds me of a cockerel. S/he stands tall, a rooster characteristic. But I could be wrong, Good Luck!

I would watch that mille fleur chick on the right, but at that young of an age, it could just be different growth rates and not a male/female difference. The seabright also looked rooish to me, but I don't have anything to back that up.

As for your giant white silkie - unless you start to see the comb past the hair, I wouldn't worry about her.

Mille Fleur d'uccles both look like girls....by 3 weeks old, my boys had huge combs and were already red. Same for the OEGB..also, the coloring on the wings is wrong for a little rooster. As for the silkies, you have a bit of a wait on those :) I'm not sure about the sebright, that is one breed that I haven't had yet :)

the d'uccles look like they are pullets the rest you will still need to wait a bit longer. the silkies will more than likely be when they crow or lay, the seabright will be by its comb and the oegb try posting pics of it at 6 weeks

Sebright roosters have hen feathering. You won't see any tell tale rooster feathers on that one. Silkies are too young to correctly sex, as are the others IMO. You'll drive yourself crazy guessing sexes on these things over and over. I have a rooster that didn't show herself until about 6 months old. HIS name is still AnnieBelle because I called him that for so long.

Thanks guys! I was hoping to have a hen and cockerel for my d'uccles but would love the rest to be pullets in a perfect world. I know they are really young, I think the hen/rooster guessing game is kinda fun, lol.

don't let the OEGH be a rooster...I have heard not so many nice things about them as roosters...

I have a pair, and they are showable, so whenever I go to a county fair, I have to LOCK, like MasterLock his cage!

I remember "gangster" like people always pointing at him... no wonder he was the only OEGB roo there.....

All of my OEGB roosters have been wonderful!!! I have never had a mean one. My 7 year old picks them up and lugs them around with no problems at all!

They are tame guys! Even though knowing that people sadly cock-fight them, they are sweet-hearts if you handle them a lot.
