I received 17 week old pullets and they are now 18 weeks and none of them has layed yet....is there anyway to get them to lay quicker...its so hard to wait!

You sound hungry! Are you thinking about breakfast???

its hard waiting but thats all you can do. you dont want them to start to early then there body's may not be ready and they will have problems getting they eggs out.

My granmother use to put red pepper flakes in the hens feed. It was supposed to make them lay, but It may have just been an old wives tale.
But I am sure they will lay when it is time for them to.

Try placing a fake egg or even a golf ball in their nest box. That may give them an idea.

Keep in mind that they have been relocated which can be stressful. Chickens like peace and quiet, not stress and strife.
Lawnmowers, barking dogs, inquisitive children, the neighbors cat - all can have an effect on the laying pullet.
But there is a simple, time tested way to get them to lay. In order to shorten your learning curve on this, I'll give it to you now...

Feed them, give them clean water and clean surroundings. Before long they will start laying eggs for you.

Pretty simple, aint it?
