My muscovy hen decided to hatch one last clutch. She's been sitting on them for a while and wouldn't let me near to count the eggs.
Yesterday, she brought out 10 little babies

There were 2 dud eggs, (nasty and rotten), one that had a full grown duckling that was dead, and one duckling that looked like he had gotten stepped on

But the other ten are active and seem healthy!

Here are a few pictures. Looks like I have some interesting colors this time! Any guesses on what they will look like? I tried to get a pic of each different colored duckling.

2 like this, my last ones like this turned out to be lavender I think:

and 2 like this, I think they might be barred because they are white with slightly gray tails, but I'm not sure. It almost looks like they have gray heads, so maybe more lavenders?

I have eggs in my bator, I wanted my broody to hatch them, but refused. She wanted to hatch her infertile eggs

They are so cute!!!! Mine just hatched as well.. I actually have 4 more to go, 2 of which have piped... 9 healthy babies running around..

Very adorable....every time I see ducklings, I want more. Then I remember how quickly they grow up. Well, I still want more, but it's not as tempting!

One of my scovie hens just surprised me with a clutch of 15 about a week ago. I thought she was gone, flew away or a predator got her....nope she just graced me with 15 more scovies

Having a horrible time getting rid of them too, so late in the year that no one wants them and I don't have the room to winter them
