I understand your woes...

My husband and I went through two layoffs in 3 years. He is the main bread winner. We almost lost our home. I remained positive because him, I, and our two daughters were, and are, healthy. We have family that love us. The sun shines every day. Put things into perspective. You have to look at the silver lining in life. When a door shuts another will open, you have to have faith. I understand how hard it can be.....if you focus on the negative, life will follow suit. Things WILL get better, believe that it will and it will happen. Good luck to you and your family.

Seems to be no luck in finding jobs around our area. my dad is putting in a couple apps tomorrow but if he doesnt get a call we may have to move

And that VP needs a swift kick. Why in the world would you go to all that trouble, your company and the hired one, just to pull back. Very weird fella. But, considering the big mess that the whole industry seems to be in maybe that's normal?? Very odd, not to mention inefficient.

That your mom gets The Job. Did she have a minor? Something maybe that she could use to get some other job? Depending on the minor (and your state) she might even be able to teach, upon certification, or even substitute teach... that only requires an Associates (or maybe it's just a set number of hours?) around here. Not the career she wants, but some other trails to poke around in.

Sounds like you're doing really great holding up through all this muck. So, clearly you're a pretty strong person, not surprising since you from strong stock, and you guys will make it through. Maybe not with this or that car, pet, job... but you'll get through.

Insomnia. I've got a whole stash of ones I made up before the election. Not using the ones that are particularly political one way or the other... but there are a few that I just love... this is one... I'm kind of a paintbrush addict.
