Anybody else using AI as a tool for breeding plan development?

I’ve been experimenting with AI (like ChatGPT) as a planning tool to help refine my breeding strategies — and it’s been surprisingly useful.

Right now, I’m using it to develop a project to enhance one of my favorite breeds, using methods similar to what dog breeders have done in recent decades: introducing new traits and then using multi-line backcrossing to maintain type, temperament, and genetic health.

I know a lot of us rely on spreadsheets, instinct, notebooks, and lineage tracking, but AI has added a layer of logic-checking, vocabulary building, and even marketing phrasing that’s honestly helped me prepare for and organize long-term goals.

I’m curious if anyone else has used it for:

Planning pairings

Avoiding inbreeding

Building trait scoring systems

Line naming / tracking

Writing ads or social posts

Naming or branding lines

Analyze breeding stock photos before purchasing Ebay or Etsy eggs

I’d love to hear from folks doing similar things.
What’s worked? What hasn’t?
Any prompt tricks, structure tips, or “watch out for this” moments?

(Let’s keep it general, nothing too proprietary unless you want to share. This is more about tools than trade secrets.)

That doesn't seem like a good long term idea, a.i just skims info off the internet , good or bad.
You are very correct. I've had to correct it multiple times. It will get genetic information very wrong and will make other comprehension mistakes that need to be called out. It's a very powerful tool but it can't do everything. I still use it as a collaborative aid but it's no replacement for knowledge or experience.
