I am from southern Maine and I'm just wondering if there's anybody else out there nearby with ducks

I have fun sharing and I love to hear from others as well.

I'm in central Maine.

I have 4 mallards that are 3 weeks old and we are planning on getting more

Well I have 2 Pekins, 4 Anconas, a couple I Don't Knows and 4 Muscovies. In the next couple weeks I will be adding 6 Saxonies, 6 Indian Runners and 3 Australian Spotteds.
The pekins will probably be going to freezer camp or a new home. They are both males and I don't want to find girls for them. The I Don't Knows may or may not stay. They are laying like crazy right now so it is nice to have fresh duck eggs but I want to concentrate more on the Muscovies and the new arrivals.

I'm near Belfast. 18 runner eggs incubating along with four goose eggs, and I have about 60 chicks between 1 and 6 weeks old. Hope to be adding more ducks and chicks to the mix, trying to get a good laying flock going and some breeding flocks.

I am in Hollis Maine. I have 4 ducks. A pair of Indian Runners, Virgil and Victoria, a Pekin, Veronica, and one mixed breed, Vanessa.

Widget-what do the IDK's look like and how old are they? I might be interested if you are looking to rehome them. I really don't "need" anymore ducks, but if they are unusual looking, I might consider it.

The drake IDK is a dark brown with some white spots on his chest and he his head is a black with a beautiful greenish tinge in the sunlight. The hens are black and white. They look like the Anconas. They are about a year and a half old. Or there might be only one hen left. I know I lost either her or one of the Anconas this winter to a bobcat. I'm open to rehoming for them and the Pekins if anyone is interested. No hurry though. There is still too much snow and ice to easily get in and out of the pen. Hopefully by the end of this weekend I will be able to open the door and not have to climb over the fence.

Hmmm, does the hen look like this?

I can't take any drakes, I have one and one is enough! But I might love one more hen if possible.................

Similar. The spots are bigger. More like a Holstein cow than a Dalmatian dog.

. I can try and get some pictures of them this weekend. Maybe by then they will not look as muddy. At least the weather should finally be nice for a few days so things can start to dry out.

Sorry I hijacked the thread! But Widget, would love to see a pic or two. I really would love to have another girl similar to Vera, I miss her, she was a sweetie.

I'm from Eustis, Maine! Right now I only have 2 indian runners and 4 runner crosses. Looking for other breeds though if anyone in maine is selling ducks/ducklings!

I have had pekins, cayugas, and muscovys in the past, miss them!
