Anybody got bees!

In the spring we are putting out a baited top bar hive and see how that works. Read about it and now curious if it will work. If it does not I will buy bees to go in our top bar hive.

I have bee's, or I should say I had bee's! I have a top bar hive and got bee's last April. They were doing great and making comb and honey, when one day I was checking on them and they had "absconded" A bee term, where if the bees feel they cannot live in the hive you have provided, they leave to find a place they can survive. I think the hive was in a very hot place. Too much sun.

So I will try again this spring!
