I have 5 hens all of wich are almost 17 weeks old. One started laying at 15 weeks and has laid an egg a day consistently for the past week. She usually lays in the morning to early afternoon. The thing is everytime I go in the coop to take the egg she follows me into the coop and looks at me.. then after I leave she stays in the coop for a few min looking around. The way she looks at me is starting to make me feel guilty. So my question is does anybody have a similar experience and after shes been laying for awhile will she care less that I'm taking her eggs?

She's a very sweet chicken the rest of the time.

yea shes not mean about it she just looks so sad and worked up that I feel bad. Shes putting a chicken guilt trip on me. Ive started to bring out treats with me to distract her but its about the only time shes not interested in what sort of food I have
