We just rescued this pretty little girl a few weeks back, now she is about 10 weeks old. She's super friendly, and loves attention. We rescued her from some pretty horrible conditions, and fell in love. She's a tad on the small side, but makes up for it with her large attitude. The problem is... we don't know what she is! We've never seen another chicken like her, especially around where we are at. It's rural New Hampshire and everybody seems to have "traditional" chickens. But, she seems to be getting along well with all of the others. She has a black fan tail, a V-comb, and 5 toes. Since this picture has been taken her "topknot" has gotten much larger and she has darkened slightly in color. She's got white legs also. I know the picture isn't the best, apologies. But if you could help us figure out what kind of chicken she may be- it's much appreciated! We're thinking: POLISH or Appenzeller Spitzhauben. Maybe even crossed. Any ideas? thank you!
