I'm in the Indy area. I have just a birdroom in my house with parrots and one silkie hen.....very young. I'm babysitting another hen and roo and will soon have a frizzled cochin hen and a couple hens and a roo from my Key West chicken eggs that I brought back from vacation in Key West 2 1/2 weeks ago. I'd LOVE to have more and have them outside but I live in a subdivision and I am sure my neighbors would squawk!!

I am a brand new newby here in southern Indiana, Right across the bridge from Louisville Ky.
Anyone live somewhere close?

I have baby bantams in the brooder, Brown egg layers on the way, standard size Sultans and Phoenix in the incubator right now.

Starting over after a few years lay off from chickens. and soooo happy about it!!

I'm from southern Allen county. Moonlit farms, I've been through Markle...in fact, if I have to drive down I-69 towards Indy, I prefer the route that takes me through Markle 'cause I'm not crazy about interstate driving and it postpones the stress for a bit, plus I don't have to go through that awful I-69/I-469 interchange.
