Been trying to find SOMEONE who will teach me how to process chickens. I've watched YouTube videos (at least enough so I don't think I'm squeemish about it anymore

), but it's not the same as "hands on" type of learning. I hope to have some young roosters this spring to raise for meat, but I can't find someone who is willing to show me how to go about it then . . . I don't know what I'm going to do.

Salem County. I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos. They were helpful, but I really couldn't see very well when it came to the gutting part. That's the part I'm most nervous about.

This will be my first year butchering, if I get the guts to do it

I have been watching youtube as well, but I don't think I'll really get it down until I'm actually doing it. I figure lots of other people have done it, so I can too.

Good luck!

Well, it's all set.

We're supposed go this Saturday, weather permitting. Hope I don't loose my nerve.

You might want to ask this on the New Jersey thread in Social Forums "Who am I? Where are you?". I have not gotten to this point in my chicken experience.
