Anybody know what kind of tracks?

We had a raccoon that always came during the day into our fenced area which had silkies in, he came right up ate chicken feed and left. We trapped him and put him down.
And there was definitely something wrong with him, he stumbled and just looked ill overall.

How long was he coming and eating chicken feed? Some raccoons can survive distemper but end up screwy in the head. Rabies usually kills them in about a week and a half. Either way it’s best to put down a raccoon coming close to your chickens for any reason.

Probably a couple of days, can’t be for sure though.

Looks like a coon print to me. Put up a game camera. It will probably be back. I have noticed on my cameras that many predators have routines and come by to check out things quite regularly. This was a rainy night. A coon.

Did they try to get in the coop or eat their food?
