This is the easiest way. Suffocates the mites and the eggs.

You can also dip their legs in rubbing alcohol prior to applying the PJ. This will speed up the healing. Id recommend it in this case because it looks pretty severe.

If they mean or you're unfamiliar with them, you can wrap them up in a towel, leaving the legs exposed. You can easily control them and with their Heads covered they will naturally settle down.

Be careful because they have some serious spurs and know how to use them. While you have them there, you can attempt to remove the spurs if you'd like. It doesn't hurt them, but helps with overall health. Here is a video showing how to do that.
