I just wondering if anyone uses this candler, GQF Cool Lite?
Can you see the chick move with it?
I have been suffering with a regular household flashlight, and waiting to day 14. I would like to candle earlier and see a chick move in the egg! Thanks everyone.

The GQF one? I dont think it would work well it only has a little like 6 watt bulb. I would not spend $15 one something that is very easy to make, and a flash light does the job well too.

I have one and I think the flashlight works better. The little bulb in the gqf is not very bright. I have actually took a spot light that I bought at the dollar store and got a box to fit over it, cut a small hole in the top of the box and sit the egg on top. Now that is the best $10 bucks I have spent in a long time.

I like mine too (If it is the same one you are talking about), the nice thing is I can candle them while they are still in the turner. at day 14, I candled 9 eggs in 30 seconds or so and never had to pick up an egg.

I have it also and I love it. I can candle duck eggs at 3 days with it. Most chicken eggs by 5 days. The dark welsummer eggs I still have to wait 10 days to be sure. It works well on quail eggs too. The buttons are hard to candle with it, but they are pretty tiny. It is well worth it for no more than it costs.
