This is Tira as a baby. She is now 1 years old and she lays green eggs. After a slow start, she is laying almost every day now. She is the lowest standing member of the flock (of 4) and is still such a baby, always trying to hide her head under someone's wing, and creating chaos on the roost.. she gets a lot of pecks on the head for pushing her sisters down from the roost and generally annoying the flock but since she picked up her egg laying she is bolder and would even chase the others for warms and bugs and would run to be first when I give then treats. She looks small but is actually the second heaviest, after the cuckoo maran.

I have never had a hen lay an egg begire because they all died during free range so for these three i am going to keep them in the coop unless im with them.
