Anybody watch Battlestar Galactica?

I really liked the ending. Loved the way they ended Baltar and Caprica. Rosalyn's death was a tear jerker. I thought that the special effects and filming were some of the very best of the series. I loved the way Starbuck just disappeared tho I wish we knew where too. And the original Centurions were so cool.

The only complaint about the series for me was that there was way too much gratuitous sex. And from the looks of it Caprica won't be any different in that department. I don't know if I want to bother watching it.

I forgot to mention how cool and sad it was when they sent the
fleet into the sun and the music from the original series played in
the back ground.

Sarah, I understand your feelings about the sexual content. I found
it fascinating and provocative however it did make the show too
adult for kids. But let's face it, if any of us were Viper pilots facing
death at any minute I know I would act in a similiar way.

The Starbuck mystery sat ok with me. What doesn't is Adama. Is he
gonna sit on that mountain top for the rest of his days?

I'm gonna miss those characters, with all their demons and human
frailties.

I've watched the final episode 4 times now and I'm still not sure if I've 'gotten' it all.

Did I like how they ended it? To be honest not really, but I'm ok with it.

Quite a few touching scenes in the show to say the least.

I agree the final Adama/Roslin was great.

I don't really understand why they lead you to think he and Apollo said a final goodbye. That just doesn't sit well with me seeing as how they are both on the same planet. Maybe it has something to do with me having two sons and I go nuts if I don't see them after a few days.

Apollo/Kara and that frakkin pigeon. To me the pigeon was Kara for Apollo. In the two shows it showed up it rushed into his life, got him all excited trying to catch it then suddenly it flew out the door and was gone... just like Kara at the end.

Kara and the angel thing? That was a twist I wasn't expecting at all, pretty neat. When the series first started I couldn't stand Katie playing the role because I thought she was wayy wayyy over playing the part, but later on she become one of my favorites.

In the final episode Baltar erased all the bad things he'd done coming full circle. It was like he was a pseudo cylon the entire series finally becoming a human being at the end. That 'knowing something about farming' then choking up line was powerful and a great capstone completing his character in the best way possible in my opinion.

Even though I wasn't totally happy with everything at the end all in all this series was fantastic and I'll miss it.

I have to shelve this one right beside Deadwood and Rome!
