Thanks all for the condolences.
Still a bit of a shock today. I always say it's the nicest birds that die first.
As far as spirituality and religion, I know they're two very different things. It's wrong for me to treat them as one, but oftentimes they're just lumped together. I will say that my 'faith', if that's a good term for it, lies with my spirituality, moreso than with my religion. I tend to believe what I see, but I, like a few others who posted, can be open to new ideas and concepts.
I will say that intuation is probably what led me to the conclusion that something was wrong with my Roo-roo. I aspire to attain a career in the animal biology field. My mother told me today when we were talking about my sensing, "You'll make a great vet someday." Whatever I do, it's a part of myself I will treasure. I don't try to see things that aren't there, but look beyond what I see and listen. I like hearing so many positive comments and stories on the topic.
Royd...I have seen 'The Birds'.
I have more of a respect for birds, rather than a fear. Saw the movie on Halloween last year with a couple of friends. The feelings were mutual; very creepy.
