I ordered from Home and Barn basics on 1-23-09 and have not gotten any replies to e-mails or phone calls.

Something must be going on. I read a lot of good press on them and decided to order based upon that. Well, now I am awaiting my Paypal claim. They have not responded to Paypal for about a week now. Don't know... I would not order from them again. I went with Cutler. Few extra dollars more, but they're dependable. Trust is a big deal in business...

Last heard from them on 1/20 on a ? I had.

Got my 1588 from them and love it. Figured would need another one soon. And replacement parts for my turner, seems duck eggs were a bit heavey on it.

Yep, that's their email. And they don't answer any correspondence via it. Called them a thousand times, emailed repeatedly... They have not responded to my Paypal request, so I escalated it to a claim. No response to that either... I'll do business elsewhere.

It's like that old saying... A thousand attaboys and one AWE SH#T... I read some more bad press on BYC about slow deliveries and no response to calls and email, as well.

FYI

I ordered my incubator from Home and Barn Basics on 1-23-09.

After unanswered e-mails and phone messages, I had to post a PayPal claim against them on 2-9-09.

I received my incubator today (2-16-09).

I received absolutely no correspondence from the time of order till the time I received the incubator.

Good luck and buyer beware.

I ordered from Cutlers. They're a few dollars more, but fast!

Get this...

I ordered three from Cutler. Not because I wanted three, however... I kept going back to their website to check the status of my order and there was no record of my order in my account history. So I didn't think it went through. I thought this strange and noticed I had not received a confirmation email of my order. Until the third time trying! So, I called and they said they'd already shipped two. Hmmm fishy...

They canxed the third upon request and now I have two. That's OK. I'll use the second as a temp brooder for staggered hatches.

Be careful. If you don't get comfirmation, call them. I think they've a glitch in their ordering process. Or I'm crazy...
