I bought Add-A-Motor D20 (nice motor )
I'm trying to use a solar panel .

I have
1. UB12180 12v 18Ah battery
2.
Elfeland 12V 5W Solar Panel
3.
Docooler 20A 12V/24V Solar Charge Controller Solar Panel Battery Regulator Safe Protection

When I connect my motor to load on Charge controller motor not working but if I connect using same wire directly to battery motor is working. This is 2nd charge controller .. with previous I had the same problem.
Should I connect the motor directly to the battery ?

Any help appreciated.

Thank you,

Hmmm...looking at the information for that controller it should work with the motor connected to the load terminals. Is the load LED lit? It is interesting that the manual says "The “Load LED” indicates the working condition of loads. When it lights, it
means the load may work; when it’s off, it means the load may not work." May? Seems a bit vague.

I don't think it would be an issue to hook the motor direct to the battery.

Thank you for help .. I will have to check that tomorrow.

You're welcome. I noticed in the instructions for the controller that the 3 red LED's indicating battery voltage should all be on if the battery is charged. You should check that also. If the battery is not fully charged the load will not operate through the controller. It's likely that the motor will work hooked directly to the battery even if the voltage is low but won't work through the controller. I'm betting that low voltage in the battery is your issue.

Yes you right all 3 LED are red and charge LED is still on
I will see tomorrow /
thank you again.. :)
