Anyone cook FOR their birds?

OK, true confessions! Just got back after a few days away, and collected their eggs. Instead of making their first batch of Famous Amos Chicken Cookies, I put all 8 eggs in the blender with a leftover green monster smoothie - added the layena 'dust' (about 2 cups) and some leftover rice. Dished it up and gave it to the girls!

Had to offer the mess to them 'poi' style (2 finger poi) because they ignored the bowl O' smoothie. They LOVED it! It's kind of a gruel really.

Next time will actually bake the mess (without the rice) and see how that goes over. I only hesitated because my spoiled girls turn their noses up at bread. I'll get them eating it all though - just you wait! My spoiled brats will be dining like the little pullet queens they are if it KILLS ME! <--- yep. It will too.

I encourage you to cook and prepare many kinds of foods. Your chickens will let you know what they like.
We feed our chickens all sorts of foods. Thanks for the idea about preparing the feed crumbs/dust in with other foods.
