Anyone decorate the coop for Christmas???

The weather here turned bitter too fast & I missed my oportunity to decorate for this year...I'll have to get on it sooner next year.

Great job ! to those of you who got out there & got it done!!!

Okayyyyy, I took some photos of my coop and house, etc.

Before the lights turned on, you can't see but there is a cute little star shaped wreath on the coops front door.

I just put LED Christmas lights in the coop this weekend, not really to be festive... but to make sure the girls are eating enough food! In the Seattle area, we're 'technically' getting ~8.5 hours of daylight, but in reality we're getting less because of the overcast skies. Our chickens aren't waking up until almost 8am, they're going to roost at about 3pm, and it seems like the chickens are hardly eating at all.

A small string of 50 white LED's is inside their coop and then out onto part of the run and it's on a timer to turn on at 4am. This morning, they were awake and eating when I opened the pop door at 5am.

I have a hanging light in my coop, by extension cord from the house. It turns on at 5am, off again at 8am when the sun has been up for at least 15 minutes, then turns back on again at 4pm and off at 6pm, my girls are on the roost at about 6pm, sometimes 6:30pm.
