anyone decorating eggs?

I am in the midst of decoupaging some of our eggs ---

Anybody else doing this?

The hens did the first part for me by giving us their lovely colored eggs -- such helpful girls --

I used to make ukrainian eggs, and I loved it. I wasnt that good at it, but it was fun and calming for. But Ive since given that up since I got sick and lost alot of my eyesight.
Its defentally a wonderful hobbie to get into!

This may be a silly question, but do you drill a tiny hole in the egg to get rid of the inside before decoupaging? Two of my EEs lay two different beautiful shades of blue/green.

Rinse egg well and I use a weak bleach solution to clean the inside with the syringe but this is not necessary --

It's fun to see what you can do with an egg --

I might try that chocolate technique as well -- I am 'moving slowly' on my Easter projects -- several more steps with the decoupaging and finishing up some tiny needle-felted bunnies that I've been working on --

I love Easter -- new beginnings, etc.

So after all the contents are out, you just decoupage? How many coats?

and, yes, so many craft techniques -- so little time!

I have been needle-felting with DOG HAIR -- I know, I know -- really weird but it works better for the tiny rabbits I've made than the 'real' sheep-wool roving that I bought --

I've tried to post pictures but can't 'crack the code' with Photo-Bucket --

Later, if anyone is interested and knows how to do the 'picture-posting' thing, I will e-mail pictures to that person to put on this thread ---

My husband has had a good laugh at my projects --- I reminded him that 'I have to work with what I have' --- and, believe me, I have dog hair -- and egg shells!
