Anyone do haircuts on their silkies?

I just started doing haircuts on my girls with big crests and fluffy cheeks to give them some vision abilities. They’re still growing out a bit. I’m curious how much you cut around the eye to give them a good field of vision without making them look too ragged. I’m not showing them, just pets. I just did directly around the eye, but didn’t cut much of their crest at all.

I trim mine just carefully around the eyes so they can see. Do the same with my polish.

I trimmed my polish around her eyes the other day and will probably will do the same for the silkies when they get older.

One of the chicks I got today is a White Polish. This is great to know I can totally trim her!

I just trimmed mine for the first time a few months ago, it was fun! I cut mine a bit shorter but was very careful, especially around the eyes. Here is what my roo looked like after his trim:
