Just wanted you to know.

If you just hold the egg up to your ear, and tap on it, does the chick tap back? Sometimes I can hear them scribble-scrabbling around in there, too.

I just turned the turner off for my batch (I've been hatching in the turner, just unplugging it when it's in a slanted position). Based on the last two batches, I'll be surprised if I don't start having pips tomorrow.

Ok, after hatching over 30 chicks last Tuesday and 20 more today along with more pipped and the chicks I have that are 3-5 weeks old here- I officially have chicks coming out of my ears. I'm glad about 60 of these will be going away on Monday.

NO! I can't wait for them to leave and stop eating all my food and stop smelling up my basement.

They are cute, 'tis true. But I am excited for my March hatch because I know that a lot of those birds will live here permanently.

Both. Why? Do you need some?

I just moved 19 fluffy chicks to the brooder and have 4 more drying in the bator. 8 more pips in there with some of those zipping. I'm going to be up for a bit longer to make sure everyone is settled in to the brooder good.
