Tonkatsu (sp?) and agedashi tofu are my favorites. I can make sushi when I can find the right ingredients, have the mats and everything. Nigiri beef is another favorite. Gyoza..... edamame.....

Dang it... making myself hungry.

I love the ginger sauce they give you at Japanese Restaurants. I would love to know how to make that.

This is one of the most useful sites for Japanese food as it has information on every type of dish plus a lot of explanations on how it is served etc. You can also subscribe to it so new recipes turn up by email. The recipes are easy to follow & it even has a forum if you need help over some problem.....!

Not sure how they make the salad dressing, Ponzu Sauce is a lot similar, mainly used for meats though.

I made it with:

4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1.5 tablespoons
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 teaspoon ginger juice

Simply mix them thoroughly

1 teaspoon of ginger juice can be made from ~1 inch of fresh ginger root grated and pressed.
