has anyone else thought of crossing a naked-neck with a crested polish? i can just imagine a chicken with a naked neck and that crazy head of hair.

I've seen that before. It's really great. The hens look like decorative plants, the males look like palm trees.

The nice man I got my NN from keeps telling me all the "cool" things I could cross with them. I am not too keen on it. I would think the head feathers would be so heavy that they would tip over!!

I like the "palm tree" definition. I just can't imagine why you would do such a thing.

There's a fellow BYCer on here who has done this before, but the offspring was killed. That hen (Polish X NN) was bred to, I think, a Silver Laced Wyandotte so the offspring was 1/4 Polish, 1/4 NN, and 1/2 SLW. I saw a pic, really interesting, just how you'd imagine.

I've liked the idea myself however my NN and Polish are both girls and I'm no longer allowed to experiment with eggs....
