Anyone else being invaded by the asian lady beetles??????

in the seventies here today and they are swarming! I hate even brushing them off my arms as they stink so bad! I hung clothes on the line and they were all over my laundry

So I had to google asian lady beetle. You're talking about lady bugs?

Here I was expecting some horrible monster. Like earwigs with talons, teeth and wings.

Package them up and send them my way next spring. People pay for them here. And they're not cheap.

Imp- I'm envisioning a year without aphids.

From what I understand they are not the coveted lady bugs that help in our gardens but some evil ..........?? Regular lady bugs are a different color and do not bite and are very helpful in our gardens. What exactly are these ugly stinky things?

Just like all bugs gone wild they were imported. I believe to combat aphids in bean fields. Not your garden variety good lady bug. And yes they bite HARD! They are heat seekers and congregate by the thousands when it gets cold. Nasty creatures.
