Anyone else do this?

I sleep really good as soon as my head hits the pillow. Don't think of anything prior to sleeping. Try a nice warm cup of tea or a peanut butter sandwich. Sometimes going to sleep keeps people from sleeping if they are hungry. I do this every night with tea, sandwich and milk sometimes. Don't think about things you need to get done the next day or things you haven't done. I've done this most of my life even when I was a kid. Clear you mind and don't let it wander after you lay down. Here is a test I do. Once I did not have all I did before sleeping and sometimes I get back up an hour after I laid down just to have the sandwich, then I fell asleep. Tea relaxes me. Maybe hot coco would do the same thing. If you lay there trying to sleep and it doesn't work you need to get back up until you think you're ready to try again. No wondering your mind once you lay down.

It's OK to review a situation to be better prepared the next time. That is how we learn.
